This project provides training in the use of Web-based health information tools to health care professionals and librarians who work with substantial Hispanic communities. In addition to training, printed materials will also be developed in Spanish and distributed to the targeted sites and associated communities. Additional distribution to community and faith-based organizations and sites in which there is a Spanish-speaking population is also included in the project.

University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (TX)(RML)(Region 5,)—Project partners University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), Texas A&M University Cetner of Housing and Urban Development (TAMU-CHUD), Colonias Project and National Library of Medicine implemented an 18-month outreach project with the goal of increasing usage of MedlinePlus and MedlinePlus en español in low-income, medically underserved Hispanic communities where residents primarily speak Spanish.
