IRLS 688 Advanced Issues in Information Resources: Issues in Libraries

John Berry will teach IRLS 688 section 003 Advanced Issues in Information Resources: Issues in Libraries. This will be a writing course that will explore ways to articulate values, issues, and policies in the current information environment. The course will meet over two long weekend, March 29-31 and April 12-14.

John Berry is vice-president and longtime editor of Library Journal. Mr. Berry is a veteran of both academic and public libraries. He served as a young adult and reference librarian in the public arena, and assistant director at Simmons College Library (1962-1964). Mr. Berry received the Lippincott Award for distinguished service to the library profession from the American Library Association in 1992 and is a well-known free speech advocate who is outspoken and passionate about a number of social issues.
