588 - Community Outreach, Programs and Services: Adult Services in Public Libraries.

The class will cover the theory and practice of serving adults in today's public library, including assessment, program/service development and evaluation, funding, community awareness, outreach, public relations, and internal commuications. These ideas and skills are transferable to most settings, but examples for the course will be drawn from the Latino community.
